What’s new in Adapt It Mobile 1.20.0
- Incorporated v1.1.0 of the cordova-fonts plugin. For Android devices, this update adds support for OTF fonts and windows-encoded fonts; it also includes several bug fixes for both Android and iOS devices.
- Added support for Android 16 (“Baklava”) devices / SDK 36, which includes edge-to-edge support.
Bug fixes
- Removed logging calls in production builds
- Make calls asynchronous for TargetUnit and SourcePhrase lookups
- (Internal troubleshooting only) Added asynchronous calls for clearing out the database
- Clean up potential bugs in the new project wizard and project editor
- Fix timestamps for the KB
- Performance tweaks in the phrase selection code
- Refactor deprecated mouseup() calls to use the newer API
- Fix bug in the test for a following chapter at the end of adapting the current one
- Fix a logic error in the lookahead parser

cordova-plugin-fonts release 1.1.0
The Adapt It Mobile team members maintain a general purpose plugin for the Apache Cordova framework called cordova-plugin-fonts. This plugin allows Adapt It Mobile to enumerate the fonts installed on the mobile device, so that they can be used for adaptation. We have just released an update to this plugin, available now to users via npm and through the Apache Cordova platform.
What’s new in this release
- Android - added support for OTF font files (previously, only TTF files were supported)
- Android - added support for UTF16BE encoded fonts (previously, only Mac encoded fonts were supported)

Android
- Check for post-5.0 fonts location
- Fix resource leaks in getDefaultFont() and getFontList().
- Fix a thread safety issue in getFontList().
- Fix a possible overflow bug in getFontList()
iOS
- Return font name instead of font family in getDefaultFont()

What’s new in Adapt It Mobile 1.19.0
- Formatted document support: this release supports the import and export of HTML and Markdown documents. As with previous releases, the focus is on translating the text itself — formatting markers are not used to display the text in the editor, but are instead preserved and inserted into the exported document. (#622, #624, #625, #633, #634)
- Android: added support for newer devices with a 16KB page size (#630)
- Android: added F-Droid App Store repository descriptions for the following locales: es, pt, fr, ru (#637, #638)
Bug fixes:
- Fixed an issue where the Export action was not displayed at app launch (#631)

What’s new in Adapt It Mobile 1.18.0
- Made several changes to the way Adapt It Mobile stores data in preparation for future releases of the product (#604).
- Fixed an issue on Android devices where the screen would not automatically focus the current source phrase while adapting (#617)
- Increased the font size and weight for the punctuation and automatic case steps in the New Project wizard (#615)
- Increased the font size for the source and target language selection steps in the New Project Wizard (#614)
- Added support for Android API 35 (Android 15) (#613).
- Fixed an issue where the verse count totals were incorrect for chapters with verse ranges (#605).
